On June 18th, 2015, Pope Francis issued an #encyclical — a teaching letter to the global Catholic church — urging moral action on climate change.

In the spring and early summer of that year, IPL-DMV, working in partnership with the Latino Outreach program at the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, spoke with over forty Catholic climate leaders in our communities, hearing about their sense of call to act on climate in their parishes, and their reflections about what the papal encyclical means to them personally.
