This year (2022), around 100 faith facilities in DC will be required to benchmark their energy use for the first time. We’re working directly with the DC Department of Energy and Environment to help you get the online reporting system set up for your community.
Getting Started
Together with the DC Office of Energy and Environment (DOEE), we are offering personalized assistance to congregations submitting their energy data for the first time, including online one-on-one meetings with Zoe Heller, the DCSEU’s Benchmarking Associate, who can provide personalized support in entering your congregation’s data.
Zoe is passionate about sustainability and loves helping the stewards of DC’s buildings to do their part to meet the District’s climate goals.
We encourage one person from each congregation falling under the new requirements to schedule an online meeting with Zoe, and then to use this worksheet to “do your homework” in advance so that you can complete your congregation’s reporting during your session.
